ADO Den Haag teenager Abdallah Aberkane is wanted by Liverpool, according to a report.

The Mail reports that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is working on his third new signing ahead of next season.

Having already secured Red Star Belgrade midfielder Marko Grujic and Schalke 04 defender Joel Matip, the German is reportedly keen to conclude a deal for ADO Den Haag youngster Abdallah Aberkane.

Reds scouts are said to have watched the 15-year-old extensively this season and are hopeful of adding him to their squad.

Aberkane, who is of Moroccan descent, has appeared five times for the Netherlands' Under-16 side, primarily as a centre-back, although he can pay at right-back if required.

Premier League players Tim Krul and Nathan Ake, as well as former Southampton loanee Eljero Elia, have all come through the Dutch club's youth system in recent years.

Although some way off a first-team place if he does move to Anfield, Aberkane should be encouraged by Klopp's record of promoting from within.

The 48-year-old handed debuts to World Cup winners Mario Gotze and Erik Durm during his Borussia Dortmund days and has done likewise with Ryan Kent, Kevin Stewart and Sheyi Ojo since arriving at Liverpool.
