Former West Brom midfielder Allan, 23, joined Celtic from Scottish Championship side Hibernian last summer, having starred for Alan Stubbs' side last season.
Many were confused as to why manager Ronny Deila chose to snap up Allan, as whilst he is a top young Scottish talent, Celtic have a host of central midfielders already, including Nir Bitton, Scott Brown, Stefan Johansen, Tom Rogic and Callum McGregor.
It therefore comes as no surprise to see that Allan has barely featured this season. With just 16 appearances for the Bhoys this season, Allan has almost become a forgotten man at Celtic Park, with no appearances since the 26th of February.
The Scottish Sun now report that interest is building in Allan's signature, as whilst Leeds, Nottingham Forest and Queens Park Rangers are all keen, they will now face competition from League One side Wigan Athletic.
The Latics are managed by former Celtic centre back Gary Caldwell, and he could look to swoop on the Bhoys by securing a season-long loan deal for midfielder Allan.
It's imperative for Allan to be playing first-team football, and a loan deal would at least allow Celtic to assess his situation further down the road, given that he's simply not playing right now.
Would you let Allan leave Celtic?
