The former Arsenal midfielder obviously feels Arsenal can carry on their recent good form.
The Premier League is drawing to a close and the race for the title is heating up.
It is looking increasingly likely that Leicester City are going to win the league, although Tottenham Hotspur are in close pursuit.
But one former Arsenal player thinks that Spurs might end up surrendering their current second-placed finish.
Ray Parlour was speaking on talkSPORT today (06/04/16) and whether it was bias or belief talking is another issue, he had this to say regarding who might finish second in the Premier League this season:
“Well Arsenal will be in the top four. In terms of the order, I think Arsenal will finish the season well.
“I think they can come second can Arsenal.
Tottenham are currently four points ahead of Arsenal but the Gunners have a game in hand on their North London rivals. Spurs have tough games against the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea to come whilst Arsenal’s run in is looking slightly easier on paper.
The Gunners are also finding some good form – comfortably winning their last two Premier League games, scoring six goals and conceding none.
Spurs may have their sights set on the top of the table but there is no doubt that Parlour has a point. Spurs might want to keep an eye on their rear-view mirror.
