Rangers fans react on Twitter to Harry Forrester's performance v Dumbarton

January signing Harry Forrester gave his all as Rangers won promotion back to the top flight.

Rangers clinched promotion back to the Scottish Premiership with a 1-0 home win against Dumbarton.

Playing in front of a crowd of 48,000 at Ibrox, James Tavernier's second half goal was enough to give Mark Warburton's side the three points they needed to win promotion.

There were impressive performances all over the pitch, and among the most impressive players was 25-year-old Harry Forrester.

Forrester played a key role as Rangers dominated with 69 per cent of possession, and had 22 shots to Dumbarton's one. Only their own wastefulness made the occasion a more nervous affair than it needed to be.

Since signing on a six month deal in January, Forrester has been a revelation, netting five goals in his last eight games for the club.

The BBC reported this week he was close to agreeing a new contract, and that was certainly on the minds of fans who messaged him after the game, urging Forrester to sign up as soon as possible.

Here is a look at how supporters reacted to his display on a momentous night for Rangers...
