The Tottenham and Arsenal loanees are set to return to their parent clubs.
Rangers booked their place back in the Scottish Premiership yesterday evening. James Tavernier’s goal proved enough for Rangers to pick up a 1-0 win over Dumbarton and send themselves back to Scottish football’s top flight.
After the party at Ibrox the attention quickly turned to next season. Rangers will need to be making moves in the transfer market once again if they are to challenge local rivals Celtic at the top end of the table.
Loan players are likely to be brought in, but what about the players currently on loan at the club.
So will Rangers be keeping them?
Manager Mark Warburton was speaking to Sky Sports News HQ on Wednesday (06/04/16) about the pair and it sounded like they would not be playing at Ibrox next season:
“Two talented young players.
“They will go back to their clubs. They are Tottenham and Arsenal players respectively.
“Obviously we chat to the clubs about the situation with players but they are loan players that have done a fantastic job for us.
“I hope they enjoyed the experience and they’ll go back to their clubs, I hope, better people and better players.”
Rangers fans will be hoping to see some more exciting youngsters arrive at the club on loan deals if they are to have a meaningful impact on the Scottish top-flight.
But it seems Ball and Zelalem will be back in North London.
