A year is a long time in football, just ask Lee Erwin, and separately, all connected with Rangers Football Club.
Just over 12 months ago, Erwin was playing for Motherwell, and was involved in a furious clash with Rangers defender Bilel Mohnsi, which saw the pair fighting on the pitch in the second leg of a crucial promotion play-off.
Motherwell won the tie to secure their place in the top flight at Rangers expense, and Erwin was a figure of hate at Ibrox.
He was promptly snapped up by Championship side Leeds United, but has had a wasted season in the under-21s and on loan at Bury, and failing to start a league game, while Rangers have turned their fortunes around, finally clinching promotion back to the Scottish top flight last night by beat Dumbarton 1-0, to move into an unassailable lead to the top of the second tier.
The achievement was not lost on Erwin, who noted Rangers' achievements, via Twitter, 'liking' comments suggested the club deserved their place back in the Scottish Premiership.
Is all forgiven on Erwin's part? Perhaps. Whether Gers fans would ever accept him at Ibrox is an entirely different matter.
Here is another look at now ex-Rangers defender Mohnsi taking his anger out on Erwin after the then Motherwell forward after he had pushed him in the back.
