West Ham United youngster Martin Samuelsen has impressed at Peterborough United this season.

Peterborough United chairman Darragh MacAnthony has suggested that West Ham United’s Martin Samuelsen may need another loan move before he makes an impact at the top level.

The 18-year-old attacking midfielder has been on loan at Peterborough this season, and his form in League One has caught the eye.

Samuelsen has shown flashes of brilliance while at the ABAX Stadium, and his performance against West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup left Hammers fans purring over his talent.

Many West Ham supporters feel that Samuelsen could make an impact at the Olympic Stadium next season, but MacAnthony believes that the youngster still needs more experience before he is ready to play regularly in the Premier League.

Since his majestic display in the FA Cup, Samuelsen has had a minimal impact at Peterborough.

The Norwegian youth international has suffered with injury, and he has struggled to hold down his place in Peterborough’s team.

Marcus Maddison has become Posh’s main creator, and Samuelsen has been left on the bench for many of Graham Westley’s side’s recent matches.

Samuelsen has made 19 appearances for Peterborough so far this season, scoring twice.
