The talented youngster headed out on loan to the club recently.
Aston Villa look set for relegation this season. The club are rooted to the foot of the Premier League table and appear to be on their way out of the top-flight.
That has seen calls from some for the club to play more of the club’s young talents.
One of Villa’s talents that won’t be featuring for the club this season is Jerell Sellars.
The left-winger is currently out on loan at League Two side Wycombe Wanderers.
It seems he is making the right impression at his new club.
Chairboys boss Gareth Ainsworth has been speaking about the Villa talent this week. Speaking to getbucks he sang the praises of the Villa loanee, who started for Wycombe against AFC Wimbledon at the weekend:
“We had a sparkling Jerell Sellars.
“I thought he had a great league debut, some good touches, and he was a pain in the side of Wimbledon’s defenders.
I think Jerell probably epitomises the freedom above all others and he seemed to have nothing on his shoulders.”
The 20-year-old will have high hopes ahead of next season. He turns 21 this month and he needs to break into the Villa first-team in the near future.
Next season, with Villa set to be in the Football League, Sellars will be hoping he gets his chance at Villa Park.
Proving himself in High Wycombe might be his best opportunity at getting a chance.
