The Gunners youth set up is full of talent according to the Frenchman.
The Gunners have long been praised for the development of youth players, with it having been a staple of Wenger’s time at the club.
The last two years in particular have been fruitful ones for them, with Francis Coquelin and Hector Bellerin stepping up into the first team.
This season has been the turn of striker Alex Iwobi, who now has two goals in two Premier League games as well as a start against Barcelona in the Champions League.
The focus is now on who could be next to make their breakthrough, and Wenger says the aforementioned trio are top of the pile.
“We have many players with big quality,” he told the Arsenal Weekly podcast.
“The guys that are with me now like Chris Willock, who is very impressive, Jeff Reine-Adelaide is with us on a daily basis, Reiss Nelson is with us also.”
“We have a few players, and behind the team is a core of six or seven players, I won’t name them all now, but are a guarantee for the future of Arsenal Football Club.”
Wenger’s latest comments will certainly be of interest to Arsenal fans given the success of Bellerin, Coquelin and now Iwobi.
They have proved that the youth setup is worth the time and effort given the effect they’ve had on the first team in the last two seasons.
And if there are talented youth products waiting in the wings as Wenger says, then the Gunners support can look forward to a very bright future indeed.
