The England youth international has been on loan at Cambridge United this term.
Everton are likely to be busy in the transfer market this summer after a disappointing league campaign.
They will also be seeing some of the old guard out.
The likes of Steven Pienaar, Darron Gibson and Leon Osman are all out of contract in the summer -meaning the likelihood is a midfielder might come in.
But should Everton be considering giving first-team opportunities to one of their youngsters?
Ryan Ledson is a highly talented midfield option who has been out on loan at Cambridge United for this season.
The 18-year-old is a regular England youth international and made his debut for the club v Krasnodar in the Europa League in December 2014.
A skilful and technically gifted midfielder he has all the assets to become a future Premier League star.
On the one hand it might be best for Everton to send Ledson out on loan for another season but as Tottenham have proven this term, sometimes just giving the youngsters their chance in the first-team can reap big rewards.
Instead of replacing the likes of Gibson or Osman at a big price they should instead consider giving Ledson a first-team slot for next season.
