The Honduran is being scouted by several teams.
Spurs were reportedly watching the player along with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen and Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven.
Tottenham have been linked with the player in the past, but since their last apparent interest things have changed for the Anderlecht player.
Najar originally emerged as an attacking midfielder but in recent times he has switched roles.
This season the Honduran has dropped back into a right-back role, which is where he played when Tottenham reportedly watched him at the weekend.
Najar’s versatility may now make him an even more attractive signature for Spurs or any of the interested parties.
He can play on the wing or in central midfield and in both full-back positions, so would be a useful addition to any team.
But whether Tottenham actually need to bring in the player for next season considering their current options is up for debate.
