A chance meeting? Perhaps, but could it lead to anything substantial?

Nottingham Forest owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi was spotted chatting to former manager Steve Cotterill at the Madejski Stadium last night ahead of the team's clash with Reading.

The picture was posted on Twitter by BBC Nottingham Sport before kick-off.

Forest fired Dougie Freedman last month after 14 months in charge at the City Ground, with the team in the midst of a poor run of results.

They are currently being managed by an interim partnership of Paul Williams, and player coach Andy Reid.

Cotterill was one the of the early victims of Al-Hasawi wielding the axe, after a mixed months in charge.

He was appointed in 2011, and was dismissed a year later, soon after Al-Hasawi bought the club.

At present he is out of work after being fired by Bristol City this season, months after getting them promoted to the Championship.
