People News: BlueCrest, Voya Financial, C Suisse

For hire hiring

BlueCrest Capital Management, the investment firm run by billionaire Michael Platt, has hired Christopher Bae as a money manager in New York.

Bloomberg News reports that Bae, who was the global head of fixed income, currencies and commodities electronic trading at Bank of America until last year, has joined BlueCrest to trade on changes to interest rates, according to Ed Orlebar, a spokesman for Platt’s firm. Bae didn’t reply to an e-mail seeking comment.

In the meantime, Bloomberg News also reports that Voya Financial hired Barbara Reinhard, formerly of Credit Suisse, to lead asset allocation for a team that oversees $27bn.

Reinhard previously worked as a managing director and chief investment officer in Credit Suisse’s private-banking division, Voya Investment Management said Monday in a statement. She will be based in New York and report to Paul Zemsky, chief investment officer of the multi-asset strategies and solutions group.
