Jamie Carragher never thought he'd see Tottenham Hotspur win the Premier League

Jamie Carragher believes that Tottenham Hotspur's success could see Mauricio Pochettino attract the attention of the biggest clubs in Europe.

Jamie Carragher has warned Tottenham Hotspur that Mauricio Pochettino will be in demand if they win the Premier League title this season.

Commenting to Sky Sports, during their coverage of Spurs’ match against Liverpool, Carragher stated that Pochettino will have completed a magnificent achievement if he does lead the Lilywhites to triumph in the Premier League.

However, the former Liverpool defender believes that Spurs’ success could attract the attention of other clubs across Europe.

Pochettino has already been linked with a range of clubs, and Carragher feels that the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid could make a move for the Argentine if he does help Spurs lift the title in May.

"He will be in demand [if Spurs win the league]," Carragher said. "Tottenham notoriously have lost their best players to Manchester United and Real Madrid.

"The job he is doing, if he can pull off the league title, those clubs will be after him because that will be a monumental achievement.

"If I’m being honest, I didn't think in my lifetime I would see Tottenham win the league."

Tottenham have never own the Premier League title before, and they have rarely been as close to finishing on top of the pile as they are this season.

The Lilywhites still have hopes of catching Leicester City, but they are getting slimmer by the game.

Leicester have been relentless to build up a seven point gap at the top of the table, and they are now the odds-on favourites to win the top flight.

Tottenham's next match comes against Manchester United at White Hart Lane at the weekend.
