Manchester City, Manchester United and West Ham United are aiming to finish fourth in the Premier League this season.

Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has suggested on that three teams are in contention of finishing fourth in the Premier League this season.

The former Newcastle striker believes that Manchester United, Manchester City and West Ham United all stand a chance of claiming the final Champions League spot.

“A top four finish is not beyond Man United, and this weekend’s match against Spurs is a big opportunity for them to increase their chances, as their record against the bigger teams recently has been impressive,” Shearer wrote on

“They still have a fighting chance and going into the last few weeks of the season, the race for that fourth spot will be exciting, whether it’s Man United, Man City, or West Ham.”

United and City were expected by many to finish in the top four of the Premier League at the start of the season, but there is a good chance that both could miss out.

The Citizens have underperformed throughout the campaign, while the Red Devils’ displays and results have not always been great.

West Ham are in good form at the moment, and the way Slaven Bilic’s side have been playing in recent weeks suggests that they can end up fourth.

The Hammers have not been lucky with some referring decisions lately and also have to play Arsenal, league leaders Leicester City and United before the end of the season, but there is a real belief in the team now.
