Neither player featured during the Owls' game with Huddersfield at the weekend.
Carlos Carvalhal has explained that Daniel Pudil will be available for Sheffield Wednesday's clash with Blackburn on Tuesday, but failed to confirm whether Sam Hutchinson will be ready for the game at Hillsborough, the Sheffield Star reports.
Both men missed the Owls' narrow victory over Huddersfield on Saturday with Pudil picking up a knock while on international duty with the Czech Republic, while Hutchinson had been struck down with an illness (via Star).
And while the Portuguese had positive news regarding the left-back's chances of featuring against Paul Lambert's men, he appeared to suggest that a decision regarding the holding midfielder's potential involvement would be made at the last possible moment.
"Daniel is okay and available if we need him," he told the Star.
"He's [Hutchinson] better but let's see. We have one more day."
Pudil and Hutchinson have been two of the most reliable members of a hugely impressive Owls squad this term, so it would undoubtedly provide a major boost if they were both available for the game against Blackburn, especially as their performance in their last game was arguably not quite of the standard that the supporters have become accustomed to this term.
Their consistency could play a crucial role as Carvalhal's men attempt to capitalise on their current fifth place position in the Championship and secure a play-off spot.
