Report: Ascoli remain interested in Mirco Antenucci and want to bring Giuseppe Bellusci back to the club

The Italian pair could be on their way out of the Leeds squad this summer.

A report in Italy is suggesting that Ascoli are keen on signing two current Leeds United players.

Corriere Adriatico is reporting that Ascoli remain keen on striker Mirco Antenucci and defender Giuseppe Bellusci.

Antenucci has been a known target for some time. He is out of contract in the summer and is being heavily linked with a move back to Italian football.

Bellusci has made himself a regular in the Leeds team so his departure would be more of a surprise, although maybe not after this weekend.

He was at fault for the Rotherham United winner in a 2-1 defeat and has been prone to mistakes all season.

Bellusci is a former Ascoli player, starting his career at the club, so the links are understandable.

Ascoli are currently 15th in Serie B and have already made a move for some Leeds players in recent times.

Tommaso Bianchi is currently on loan at the club whilst former Elland Road loanees Dario Del Fabro and Zan Benedicic are currently at the club.

This is not likely to be the only report regarding the future of these Italians in the weeks to come and in regards to Bellusci, not many a Leeds fan will be disappointed to see him leave.
