Michael Owen predicts West Ham v Manchester United replay

West Ham Upton Park

West Ham United will face Manchester United in the FA Cup next week.

Michael Owen has predicted on Betvictor.com that the FA Cup quarter-final replay between West Ham United and Manchester United will go all the way to penalties.

West Ham will take on Premier League rivals United at the Boleyn Ground next week.

Former United striker Owen has not predicted the winners of the tie, but he has backed the game to finish 1-1 after 90 minutes.

“Wembley at stake and an extremely difficult game to predict; nothing could separate the sides at Old Trafford and I think this might be going all the way to extra-time and penalties!” the former England international wrote on Betvictor.com.

A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: game to finish 1-1 after 90 minutes at 6/1.”

It seems that Owen cannot decide who the winners of this match will be, but there is a very good chance that the tie could be decided on penalties.

West Ham are playing well at the moment and will fancy their chances, especially as they are at home.

However, United are grinding out results, and Louis van Gaal’s side will be looking to do the same in London.

An early goal for the Hammers could be crucial, as Slaven Bilic’s side are strong at home and the fans will be firmly behind their back.
