Jason Puncheon explains what Crystal Palace proved against West Ham

The Palace winger feels the side's confidence is coming back after their 2-2 draw at West Ham.

Crystal Palace winger Jason Puncheon believes the south London side proved their belief is coming back against West Ham United on Saturday afternoon, according to the London Evening Standard.

Palace drew 2-2 with West Ham at Upton Park and Puncheon is delighted with how he and his team-mates took the game to the home side.

Puncheon is quoted as saying by the Standard: "That was definitely an important point, especially after the run we have been on.

"I thought in the second half we showed the way we can play, taking the game to West Ham. You could see the belief coming back."

Crystal Palace are still just seven points clear of relegation but their stalemate at West Ham was a valuable one and, even if Alan Pardew can't muster another win this season, one or two draws could be enough to keep the south London side up.

The Hammers faithful have been disappointed since Saturday's 2-2 draw, of course, suggesting Cheikhou Kouyate's red card was an unfair one.

But frustration for West Ham brought some much-needed hope for Palace. The Eagles do look like they are somewhat finding their way again - although there's still plenty to do.
