Rangers manager Mark Warburton has told the club's official YouTube channel that he could add a new centre back and defensive midfielder this summer.
The Gers are set to win promotion to the Scottish Premiership having enjoyed a superb season under Warburton, and a win over Dumbarton on Tuesday would see Rangers win the title.
Even having coasted through the season, Rangers will need new signings in order to succeed in the top flight, with fans no doubt looking to challenge with Celtic next term.
There aren't many areas for Warburton to strengthen; full backs James Tavernier and Lee Wallace have both impressed this season, whilst Jason Holt, Barrie McKay, Michael O'Halloran and Martyn Waghorn have all impressed further up the pitch.
However, there are two areas that could need attention. There isn't a great deal of depth behind centre backs Danny Wilson and Rob Kiernan, whilst defensive midfield is a concern having missed out on Toumani Diagouraga during the January transfer window.
Spurs loanee Dominic Ball has covered both positions, but is set to return to White Hart Lane this summer, and manager Warburton has admitted to the club's official YouTube channel that he may look to add new signings in both positions ahead of next season.
"We've got three this year," said Warburton when talking about centre backs. "If we go up - all going well - then maybe we need to have four for that position, but I'd much rather have a tight squad, a lean squad than a squad top heavy, where you have too many players not on the bus."
"We'll look for that role certainly. Dom Ball has been excellent for us, Andy Halliday has been asked to play out of position time and time again this season so the boys have stepped up when asked to do so and all credit to them. Going up if all goes well then we'll be looking for that key position," he added on defensive midfield.
