The young midfielders caused problems for the West Bromwich Albion defence but could not prevent a 1-0 defeat.
Aston Villa's Under-21 side took on local rivals West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Monday night and there were a number of first-team stars on show for each side.
For the hosts, Tottenham Hotspur loanee Alex Pritchard and winger Callum McManaman started in midfield along with Saturday's teenage Premier League debutant Jonathan Leko.
Meanwhile, for Villa, senior midfielders Jack Grealish and Adama Traore both played 76 minutes before being substituted as they look to force their way further into the club's first-team plans under caretaker manager Eric Black.
Just like Villa's first team, the development side got no joy as Samir Nabi scored the rebound from his own penalty after a foul by Joshua Webb, and that proved to be enough to win the match despite McManaman and fellow Baggies man Callum Jones both being sent off for two bookable offences.

The biggest bright sparks for Villa came from Grealish, the impressive Traore, and recent first-team debutant Andre Green, who put in lively performances on the wings for the visitors.
Unsurprisingly, most of the reaction after the match from Villa fans called for Grealish to be involved again for the senior side after a 25-minute substitute appearance on Saturday ended his two-month exile, and for Traore to be given a first appearance since 2 January.
