The former Tottenham chairman took to social media after the 1-1 draw - and is still backing Arsenal...
The former chairman believes the Reds enjoyed more chances to win the game than Spurs and felt Mauricio Pochettino's men needed to beat Liverpool to stay in with a realistic chance of lifting the league title.
Philippe Coutinho opened the scoring on Merseyside, before Harry Kane equalised for Tottenham. And Lord Sugar tweeted on Sunday:
Yes spot on. Sorry to say we are not going to be the PL champions https://t.co/MCLCPMi9G0— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) April 3, 2016
I would have liked to win against Liverpool but to be fair they had more chance of winning that game than we did https://t.co/z3yUyh452Y— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) April 3, 2016
The problem, however, is that Sugar's comments make no sense when you consider he still believes Arsenal will win the Premier League.
Forget the fact Leicester City are seven points clear, Sugar maintains that the Gunners - four points behind Tottenham - will still end up top.
I still think Arsenal will win the PL https://t.co/PPxqEcq4oA— Lord Sugar (@Lord_Sugar) April 3, 2016
By that logic, then, his reaction to the Spurs draw is very strange indeed. Why are Tottenham now out of the title race after dropping two points... if Arsenal are going to win it four points behind them? Bewildering.
