Antonio Conte could be taking over Chelsea this summer.

According to GianlucaDiMarzio, Antonio Conte is set to sign a deal to become Chelsea boss.

The Italian report claims that the current Italy national team coach is in London and is ready to sign the contract tomorrow during a planned meeting with the Chelsea board.

The Blues are currently being guided by caretaker boss Guus Hiddink for the second time in his career following the sacking of the still popular Jose Mourinho earlier in the campaign.

With Chelsea currently sitting a long way off the top four, a rebuilding job is needed in the summer and owner Roman Abramovich seemingly wanted a new face who will help restore the club’s identity.

Conte has enjoyed plenty of success in his short managerial career to date, winning the Serie A title three times with Juventus and going through an entire league campaign unbeaten.

The Turn-based side have been set up to dominate Italian football for years to come due to the foundations laid by Conte, and Chelsea will be hoping the former defender can have the same impact in London.

First the Italian coach will see out his job in charge of the national team during this summer’s European Championships in France, with Italy among the contenders to possibly win the tournament.

Conte’s decision to leave Italy comes from his desire to return to club coaching, and in joining Chelsea he will only add to what is being set up to be a fascinating Premier League next season.
