Micky Hazard praises Leicester win, but refuses to change title stance

Leicester City are top of Premier League, and extended their lead this afternoon.

Former player Micky Hazard has taken to social networking site Twitter to praise Leicester City on their win over Southampton but still backs either Tottenham Hotspur or Arsenal for the title.

The Foxes extended their lead at the top of the Premier League table to seven points after they profited from Tottenham’s 1-1 draw at Liverpool to beat Southampton 1-0 at the King Power stadium.

Captain Wes Morgan grabbed the only goal of the game, and it resulted in Leicester’s fourth straight 1-0 win as they close in on the unlikeliest of Premier League title triumphs.

Make no mistake, the East Midlands club are now strong favourites to go all the way with just six games left.

But Hazard has refused to change his stance, suggesting on Twitter that Claudio Ranieri’s will slip up at some point as he envisages the Premier League title heading to North London.

Arsenal certainly got their title bid back on track with a 4-0 thumping over Watford, yet it could be a case of too little, too late for the Gunners as they remain 11 points behind Leicester.

Arsene Wenger’s men do have a game in hand on the Foxes, yet they will now need to win all of their remaining games with West Ham United and Manchester City away still to play.

With Tottenham unlikely to win all of their remaining six games, ten points should be enough for Leicester and on current form it would now take a brave man to bet against them.
