Steven Gerrard’s cousin proposes interesting player-swap between Liverpool and Tottenham

Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur faced each other in the Premier League on Saturday.

Oldham Athletic defender and Steven Gerrard’s cousin, Anthony Gerrard, has suggested on social networking site Twitter an interesting and perhaps controversial player swap between Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

Gerrard, a former Everton prospect, has suggested that Liverpool should send James Milner and Jordan Henderson along with £10 million to Tottenham in exchange for midfielder Mousa Dembele.

The 30-year-old centre-back believes that Dembele and Emre Can could form a formidable partnership in Liverpool’s midfield.

Gerrard made the proposal during Saturday evening’s Premier League game between Liverpool and Tottenham at Anfield which ended in a 1-1 draw.

One suspects that Tottenham would not be open to the player-exchange proposed by Gerrard.

After all, Milner is an average Premier League midfielder while Henderson, although much improved, is not as good as Dembele.

Dembele is having a wonderful season and was absolutely superb for Tottenham against Liverpool.

The Belgium international took 95 touches, made 61 accurate passes, won four tackles and 16 duels, and made 12 ball recoveries.
