Gary Lineker reacts on Twitter to Leicester City win over Southampton

The Foxes have gone seven points clear of Tottenham Hotspur at the top of the table.

Leicester City have beaten Southampton 1-0 at the Kingpower Stadium in a key clash for the title race.

It is their fourth straight 1-0 win and takes them seven points clear at the top of the table after Tottenham Hotspur drew 1-1 with Liverpool on Saturday evening.

Captain Wes Morgan proved to be the difference as his headed goal in the first half proved to be the difference.

The Foxes can count themselves as lucky though as Danny Simpson escaped with a handball as Sadio Mane went clean through while the scores were still 0-0.

And Gary Lineker’s reaction on Twitter full encapsulated everyone’s emotions as the Foxes continue to surge towards their first ever league title.

It now looks almost impossible for Claudio Ranieri’s side not to finish up as champions come the end of the season.

Sunday’s win now gives them a two game buffer over Spurs, but given their form they are unlikely to need it in anyway.

And should they end up as champions, Liverpool defender Jose Enrique says that that it will be no less than they deserve.
