The youngster has broken into the first team this season after impressive in the club’s youth ranks.
He has enjoyed himself in the first team as well, with goals against Everton and Watford in the Premier League and an impressive showing against Barcelona in the Champions League.
Coquelin is among those who have been impressed, and he says his breakthrough should motivate the other emerging talents at the club, such as Reine-Adelaide and Willock.
"It’s good to see young players coming through," he told the club’s official website.
"We’ve got a few who have joined in with training, such as Jeff Reine-Adelaide - he’s a big talent - and Chris Willock as well.”
"There’s a lot of talent there and for them to see Alex breaking into the first team will give them a sign that there's a chance for young players to come through.”
Iwobi has certainly impressed after being given his chance in the first team this season.
Arguably the best thing about his breakthrough has been the manner in which he has developed a relationship with first team stars such as Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck.
Indeed, that is arguably what is likely to have caught the eye of manager Arsene Wenger, and given the impact the youngster has had, it is hard to see him not remaining in the first team for the foreseeable future.
