No goals for Swansea City, but loaned out striker Eder now has four in seven for Lille

Lille

The Portugal international flopped in Wales.

In the summer Swansea City wanted to address their striking issues. The player they eventually brought into the club was not the most inspired of signatures.

They spent, according to the BBC, around £5 million to sign Portuguese international striker Eder from Braga.

The forward had a good scoring record with the Portuguese club but his record at international level had some Swansea fans worried and rightly so. He struggled to have any real impact on the first-team at Swansea after his move to the club.

In his 17 appearances with the club Eder managed to score a grand total of zero goals and was surely one of the worst summer signings in the Premier League.

In the end Swansea decided to move him on.

After signing Alberto Paloschi from Chievo the club sent Eder out on loan to Lille.

Now he is finally looking the part out in France. He scored on his full debut for the club in February and at the weekend Eder scored twice as Lille beat Nantes in Ligue 1.

His two goals in a 3-0 win took his tally for Lille to four goals in seven games.

Swansea fans will be wondering where this Eder was in the first-half of the season.
