Lukaku started the Premier League match at Old Trafford and played for the entire 90 minutes, as Everton lost 1-0.
The Belgium international striker did not have a great game and was able to take just one shot.
Over the course of the 90 minutes at Old Trafford, the 22-year-old had a pass accuracy of 61%, put in two crosses, won 40% of his headers, and made one block.
Former Everton midfielder Hutchison was following the match, and he was frustrated with the performance of Lukaku.
The former Scotland international, though, was impressed with the shift put in by Everton central defender John Stones.
The 21-year-old England international, who can also play as a right-back, had a pass accuracy of 84%, attempted two dribbles, won 75% of his tackles and 67% of his headers, and made five clearances and three blocks.
