West Ham drew 2-2 with Palace yesterday.
West Ham United lost ground in the hunt for the top four yesterday afternoon, as they drew 2-2 with Crystal Palace at Upton Park.
Manuel Lanzini scored again for The Hammers although it was Dimtri Payet who stole the show. The French international scored a sensational dipping free-kick for The Hammers to make it 2-1.
However, West Ham paid the price for what many saw was a poor decision from the referee. Cheikhou Kouyate was sent off for a strong challenge in the second half and Dwight Gayle went on to score an equaliser for Palace.
There was no doubt that Angelo Ogbonna was not happy with the result. The Italian defender took to Twitter after the game to send this message to his West Ham followers:
After the game however he remained upbeat – with the number 100 on his mind.
It was his 100th appearance for The Hammers and he was also wishing a very special West Ham fan a 100th birthday:
The Spaniard will hope his error becomes known as a rare blip.
