The Saints have had an up-and-down season thus far, yet their highs over the past nine months include away victories over Manchester United and Chelsea plus a come-from-behind home win over Liverpool.
Koeman’s side are a dangerous proposition, and Dutch coach Koeman feels league leaders Leicester will be afraid to take them on this Sunday as the Foxes look to tighten their grip at the top of the table.
“We can beat Leicester. We have experience from the home game,” Koeman explained to the Mirror.
"Leicester are afriad of Southampton because they know we can beat everybody - we showed that against Liverpool, away to Manchester United, away to Chelsea."
“We are full of confidence, but we realise they are very tough, very strong with some great individual players. We are looking forward to Sunday.”
The corresponding fixture between these two finished in a 2-2 draw, with Leicester coming from two goals down after being thoroughly dominated for the first 60 minutes of the encounter.
It was a fixture which gave the Foxes belief of what they are capable of, and it sparked an incredible run which has seen them head in to the business end of the season still topping the table.
Southampton head in to the weekend just four points shy of the top four following recent back-to-back victories, and another win at the King Power Stadium wouldn’t exactly come as a great surprise.
