Fuchs hails Leicester City spirit ahead of title bid

Leicester City

The Foxes have been on a fine run of form, winning seven of their last nine games, whilst conceding only five goals.

Leicester City full-back Christian Fuchs has hailed the club's changing room unity as they continue their unlikely pursuit of Premier League glory.

Speaking to Sky Sports, the Austrian international opened up about how he and his team-mates are enjoying the ride:

"There are some crazy guys in the team and we just want to have fun and enjoy the time we have right now."

Fuchs has proved to be a revelation since his free transfer from Schalke in the summer, appearing in 25 of the Foxes 31 Premier League games.

He has proved to be an asset going forward, as well as defending, chipping in with three assists.

The Foxes defender, 29, went on to praise the spirit within the team:

"Keeping the energy, keeping the positive spirit going reflects our game on the pitch."

Football isn't Fuch's only passion, he went on to say how he dreams of playing in the NFL:

"I have this ambition to be an NFL kicker. If NFL managers want a footballer in their team, I know I can kick a 60 yard Field Goal. Let's see, if you don't dream you won't achieve anything."

He has certainly taken that ethos on board this season, along with the entire Leicester squad as they continue to defy the doubters.

They will be hoping to keep up their momentum when they host Southampton on Sunday, where a win will maintain, or potentially stretch, their lead at the top.
