Former Tottenham manager shares his strong views on Mauricio Pochettino’s future

Manchester United have been linked with Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Harry Redknapp has suggested on talkSPORT that Mauricio Pochettino will not leave Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the season.

Pochettino was appointed the Tottenham head coach in the summer of 2014 and has a contract until June 2019.

The Argentine boss is doing a wonderful job at White Hart Lane and could lead the North London outfit to the Premier League title this season.

According to a recent report in The Sun, Manchester United are interested in appointing Pochettino as their manager in the summer.

Former Tottenham boss Redknapp does not believe that the ex-Southampton manager will leave White Hart Lane at the end of the season.

“I don’t see why Pochettino would want to leave Tottenham,” Redknapp told talkSPORT. “He’s got a great young team at Tottenham… and whoever goes to Man United will have a massive rebuilding job on their hands, everybody knows that,”

“And just look at Tottenham’s new training ground, look at their new stadium when it’s built. Pochettino’s at a big, big club, he wouldn't exactly be moving from a small club.”

While Redknapp makes some valid points, it must be remembered that United are a global force and are a much bigger club than Tottenham.

True, it will be a rebuilding job at Old Trafford in the summer, but it is a privilege to manage the Red Devils. Would Pochettino be able to look away if United come calling?
