The Croatian has started to impress under Jurgen Klopp's leadership.

Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren was in fine form at Anfield as his side drew 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspur.

The Reds hosted title chasing Spurs on Saturday evening looking to dent their hopes in the title race and give their Champions League hopes a boost.

Instead they had to share the points as Harry Kane cancelled out Philippe Coutinho’s goal to secure the draw.

One many who was impressive for the Reds was much maligned defender Dejan Lovren, who was key to keeping Spurs at bay for most of the game.

As illustrated by the table provided by Opta, the Croatian was impressive defensively throughout.

In total he posted 48 touches, with all of those proving to be successful ones.

On the defensive side of his game he won two tackles, as well as six defensive duels and three interceptions in the game.

He also managed seven effective clearances, the second most of any Liverpool player in the game.

With possession he was also solid, posting four ball recoveries as well as winning possession in the defensive third three times.

Another solid display from Lovren then, who has started to come into his own under Jurgen Klopp’s leadership.
