Former player Matt Le Tissier has backed Southampton to pick up a point at Leicester City on Sunday as he feels the visitors have enough quality in attack to hurt the league leaders, Sky Sports report.
The Saints won’t be easy pickings for Leicester, however, and pundit Matt Le Tissier feels his former side have enough quality in attack to at least hold the Foxes to a score-draw.
"I think Southampton are more than capable of hurting any team in the Premier League when you get the likes of Sadio Mane and Graziano Pelle on their day, as they've shown recently”, Le Tissier told Sky Sports.
“There's enough quality in the team to go there and score goals and not just sit back and let them dominate possession, which would be a mistake as they've proved they can break down teams."
Le Tissier has gone for a 2-2 draw and for Saints striker Graziano Pelle to score in his predictions, though such a result doesn’t really fall in line with the way Leicester’s games have gone of late.
As Claudio Ranieri’s men close in on what would be the biggest shock title win in Premier League history, the Foxes’ recent encounters have been tight affairs with their last four victories all coming by a 1-0 score-line.
Southampton have goals in their team, and boss Ronald Koeman will still have eyes on a potential top four spot as the south coast side sit just four points off the Champions League spots.
