Ronaldo Vieira is yet to make his debut for Leeds United's senior side.
Some of Leeds’ players have been away with representing their countries over the international break, and that has provided some of the club’s brightest youngsters with the chance to be called up to the senior squad.
Vieira is one of the youth-team players who has received a call-up to the senior squad, and Evans has been impressed by what he has seen.
“Young Vieira and one or two others have been training with the first team in the last two weeks, and so they should be,” the 53-year-old boss said. “They’re terrific talents.
“All I identify is that when we watch the 18’s or the 21’s training or in matches, we judge whether they should be with the first-team group.”
Vieira has been one of the stand out performers for Leeds’ under-18 squad this season.
The extravagantly named teenager was snapped up by the Whites last summer, and he has impressed during his first season at Elland Road.
Vieira has already been handed some chances at under-21 level, and he put in a standout performance in the Whites’ development squad’s most recent fixture against Crystal Palace.
Vieira is yet to make his debut for Leeds’ senior squad, but with Evans’ men looking destined to finish in a mid-table squad, he could receive an opportunity before the end of the campaign.
