Report: Arsenal and Crystal Palace target Mikael Ndjoli

The Den, Millwall

The Millwall youngster has been impressing in their youth ranks this season.

Arsenal and Crystal Palace are both tracking Millwall youngster Mikael Ndjoli, reports the Daily Mail.

The young striker joined the club as an Under-16 scholar with them deciding to convert him from a winger into a centre forward.

That move has proved dividends with the striker catching the eye in the youth set up this season with a number of impressive performances.

He has 20 goals in 24 appearances for the Lions’ Under-18 and Under-21 teams this season as he continues to catch the eye.

Indeed, he has been rewarded for efforts as well, with his goal against Colchester United winning the League Football Education’s Goal of the Month.

Two of those whose heads have been turned are Arsenal and Crystal Palace, who the Daily Mail report claims are among a group of Premier League club’s monitoring Ndjoli.

He would not be the first youngster the Gunners have targeted in recent weeks, with reports recently saying they are close to signing former Chelsea and Domingos Quina.

The Eagles have been similarly busy as they completed a move for Margate man Freddie Ladapo this week, showing they are not averse to targeting players in the lower leagues.
