Rangers goalkeeper Liam Kelly has claimed on social networking site Twitter that Chelsea star John Terry is England’s best central defender.
Terry has played 78 times for the England national team, but he retired from international duty in 2012.
England head coach Roy Hodgson recently told The Guardian that he had met with the 35-year-old centre-back, claiming when asked about his chances of playing at the Euro 2016 finals: “Yes, who knows?
“Because he retired so long ago he doesn’t feature in my thinking too often but I can’t deny that is a valid point. He is a left-sided centre-half.”
Kelly, who is 20 years of age and plays as a goalkeeper, believes that Terry is England’s best centre-back.

It is interesting that a Rangers player thinks so highly of Terry, as there have been talks of Chelsea defender moving to Ibrox in the summer transfer window.
Former Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram claimed on Twitter earlier this week that the Gers should make a move for Terry, who is a free agent at the end of the season.
The Glasgow giants’ fans have reacted positively to that suggestion (click here to read more), and it seems that there is at least one player in the Rangers camp who thinks highly of the former England international defender.
