Former Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram claimed yesterday he would love to see the club make a move for John Terry this summer.
Wouldn't it be great if Rangers pushed the boat out and signed John Terry for next season to really push for Champions League..— Andy Goram (@thegoalieAG) March 31, 2016
The former England captain is out of contract in June, set to bring to an end a career long association with Chelsea which saw him win every English domestic trophy on several occasions as well as the Champions League and Europa League.
Still 35-years-old, Terry wants to continue his career, but does not want to play for another English club.
It remains to be seen whether a switch to Rangers is on his radar, but with Mark Warburton's side on the verge of earning promotion back to the top flight, the challenge could appeal from a sporting perspective, although he would have to take a significant reduction in wages, in comparison to what he could earn in America or China.
The prospect of remaining in the UK and staying near to his family could give Rangers an edge, if a proposal was put forward to tempt him to Ibrox.
Here is a look at how Rangers fans reacted on Twitter to the possibility...

Bring John Terry to Rangers! Omg the same old rhetoric, players by sell by date for massive wage at the club! Move on and stick with youth!— May Dixon (@Mayasdogue) March 31, 2016
