West Ham will take on Palace at the Boleyn Ground in the Premier league on Saturday afternoon.
“A Wembley semi-final on the horizon but the Eagles are the only side in the top four tiers of English football without a win in their respective division in 2016,” Owen wrote on Betvictor.com. “They remain a talented unit, however, and are a match for anyone on their day.
“The last three PL games between the sides has finished in a 3-1 win to the away side but I expect the Irons to maintain their challenge for a Champions League spot with a home win.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: West Ham to win at Evens.”
West Ham are in great form at the moment, and they should be able to pick up all three points from the Premier League encounter against Palace.
The Hammers are in the running for the fourth and final Champions League spot in the league table.
Palace are in danger of getting sucked into the relegation battle, and a defeat for the Eagles in the London derby on Saturday could be damaging for them.
It is hard to see past a West Ham win in this game, although it remains to be seen how the international break affects the players and the team’s momentum.
Slaven Bilic’s side will head into the game against Palace on the back of a 2-2 draw with Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
