Norwich will take on fellow relegation candidates Newcastle at home in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Former Newcastle striker Owen believes that the match at Carrow Road will end in a 1-1 draw.
“The Magpies are unbeaten in the PL against the Canaries winning four of the six games between the sides and I fancy a draw at Carrow Road in this vital game near the foot of the table,” the former England international has written on Betvictor.com.
“At least one of these clubs is likely to be playing Championship football next term and a point would suit Rafa Benitez more than Alex Neill given the Geordies have lost their last seven PL games on the road.”
A footnote added: “Michael’s recommendation: Correct score 1-1 at 6/1.”
Both Norwich and Newcastle are fighting for survival in the Premier League at the moment, and there is a good chance that the duo will get relegated to the Championship at the end of the season.
The game at Carrow Road on Saturday afternoon is going to be key and will be fiercely contested.
Playing at home is certainly going to help Norwich, who should pick up all three points if they score first.
Newcastle will probably be happy if they get a draw, especially as their recent results have been disappointing.
There have been some encouraging signs for the Magpies under new manager Rafael Benitez, though, and if they score early and score first, then they could hold on for the three points.
