The former Queens Park Rangers boss has been discussing the 27-year-old.
Indeed, the pundit and former R's boss is concerned that Chery's attitude remains a question mark, citing the time he sulked when being brought off at Craven Cottage.
The forward has shown plenty of form in recent weeks, while Holloway isn't questioning his talent.
Yet Holloway told Sky Sports before QPR's Championship clash with Middlesbrough: "I haven’t forgiven him for Fulham away, when he was taken off and sulked, making his manager look bad. He’s got the talent but has he got the attitude? That’s still a question mark for me."
A comparison was then made by Holloway's fellow pundit between Chery and Adel Taarabt.
In truth, it will probably never reach Taarabt levels for the 27-year-old but Holloway's concerns obviously have some basis - otherwise he wouldn't have raised them.
Recently, the QPR forward has shown a very positive attitude indeed, as have many of his team-mates in west London.
But, naturally, it's about keeping that kind of thing up for long periods.
