Musa Yahaya cost Portimonense just £500,000.
The mystery surrounding talented teenager Musa Yahaya was solved last month, with the Nigerian signing for Portuguese side Portimonense.
Last month however the Portuguese second tier side confirmed on their website the Nigerian youth international had signed a five year deal.
Now a document released by Football Leaks shows the amount Portimonense paid for him.
Portuguese newspaper Record report that Yahaya will cost just 500,000 Euros, with only 300,000 payable up front.
It was a small amount for Tottenham to miss out over, but the confusing situation could well have put the North London side off.
A week before Portimonense announced the deal, Yahaya's agent Babawo Mohammed told AllNigeriaSoccer.com that his client was on Tottenham's books.
“Musa Yahaya is a player of Tottenham Hotspur, they want him to play at Portimonense until he gets a work permit,” he said.
“He has to play in a big league before he can get a permit. They are monitoring his performance and he is doing well.
“He has signed for Spurs and they are still paying him his allowances.”
The documents suggest no connection with Tottenham, and Portimonense's website claim he has a release clause of £7.8 million.
