But the pundit also feels the current Leeds boss has enough about him to earn a result in the derby.
Ian Holloway is excited about Rotherham United's clash with Leeds United this weekend and has predicted a 1-1 draw, according to his regular Sky Sports predictions column.
Indeed, the pundit can't separate the two sides heading into the Yorkshire derby but has praised both managers involved.
Holloway told Sky Sports: "What a game that is. Both managers will be returning to their former clubs and will be very keen to get the win.
"I fancy Rotherham to take the lead but Leeds will fight back. Neil Warnock is doing a great job there but Steve Evans will have more than enough in the other dugout."
Warnock will certainly have more momentum going into the clash, knowing what position he has Rotherham in compared to before he came in.
With Leeds, it's just never clear which side will turn up. United's last five fixtures have been Jekyll and Hyde - two terrible defeats either side of three good wins in a row.
A 1-1 draw seems a reasonable prediction from Holloway and there are bound to be a few fireworks off the pitch and in the dugout with both Warnock and Evans involved against their former clubs...
