Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey has told Goal.com that Tottenham Hotspur have been their toughest opponents in the Premier League this season.
"We've had a couple of good battles with them (Tottenham) - drawn home and away - so they have been good contests," the Wales international told Goal.com when asked about Arsenal’s toughest opponents this season.
Ramsey’s comments about Tottenham are honest, and they underline just how well Mauricio Pochettino’s side have done so far this season.
In years gone by, Arsenal would be virtually guaranteed of finishing above their North London rivals, but this campaign Spurs could actually win the Premier League title.
Tottenham have proven this season that they can compete with the big boys in the English top flight.
Under head coach Pochettino, Spurs play a pressing game that has been very refreshing to watch.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 61 points from 31 matches.
Spurs are five points behind leaders Leicester City and six clear of Arsenal, who are currently third in the standings and have a game in hand.
Pochettino’s side will return to action on Saturday evening when they take on Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the Premier League.
