West Ham United supporters have had a mixed reaction to the rumours that they are working on a deal to sign Manchester City striker Wilfried Bony.
Bony has been linked with West Ham in the Daily Mirror, with Slaven Bilic said to have identified the striker as one of his main targets in the summer.
The Hammers are expected to attempt to sign a new front man in the upcoming transfer window, as Bilic looks to strengthen his squad.
At the moment wages are said to be a stumbling block in the deal, but West Ham are thought to still be trying to get a deal a transfer over the line.
If Bony did join West Ham he would arrive with a point to prove, as their are a few fans of the London club who do not believe he would be good enough.
Bony has been prolific in the Premier League previously, during his time with Swansea City, but he has struggled since moving to City.
The Ivorian international has failed to break into the team at the Etihad Stadium, and it is thought that Pep Guardiola could make him available for transfer when he takes over.
Here is the best reaction from West Ham fans on Twitter to rumours linking them with Bony.
Just because it didn't work out for him among the superstars of Manchester City doesn't mean Wilfried Bony couldn't do well for us #whufc— @dave_boy (@dave_boy) March 30, 2016
Really don't want Bony. He's too lazy and doesn't fit our system. Sakho offers more IMO.— West Ham News (@WHUFC_News) March 30, 2016
@WHUFC_News Bony has looked lethargic since the big money deal to Man City - Steer clear!!— Barry Russell (@BarryRussell1) March 30, 2016
