Three ambitious transfer targets for Everton with extra funding - Including Berahino and Howedes

The Toffees might be in line for a cash injection this summer.

Everton need to make improvements to their team this summer after a disappointing campaign in which they look set to finish in the bottom half of the table.

Luckily the club are set to be in for a cash windfall after the investment of Farhad Moshiri.

Everton fans will be hoping this sees the club throw some money at the transfer market.

So if they are to splash the cash, who should they go for?

Here are three ambitious targets for Everton.

Saido Berahino – West Brom

Everton might need a new striker this summer – depending on the future of Romelu Lukaku.

In fact, even if the Belgian does stay, another forward would be handy.

Berahino has long been linked with a Baggies exit and if Everton were ready to cough up it would be an ideal signing.

Victor Valdes – Standard Liege (on loan from Manchester United)

A new goalkeeper is needed and Manchester United have one of the most successful club goalkeepers of all time out on loan in Belgium.

The former Barcelona goalie is out of contract this summer and his wages would be something.

But he would surely love another crack at the English game and would be a brilliant mentor for countryman Joel Robles.

Benedikt Howedes – Schalke 04

Like Valdes this Bundesliga star is a World Cup winner.

Defence is a worry and the German international would be perfect for Everton. He can play in any position across the back four and would be a terrific signing to help shore up the flaky defence that has plagued Everton this season.
