The Tottenham Hotspur attacker has been side-lined for much of the campaign.
The 22-year-old featured 13 times for Spurs prior to a knee injury that ultimately required surgery, and while he has since returned to training it seems he will not be back in action just yet.
With the international break potentially taking its toll on some of Tottenham’s key players, N’Jie would have been a wonderful option to call on for the match-day squad against Liverpool on Saturday.
But the Cameroon international is not yet ready for action, as confirmed by Pochettino on Thursday afternoon.
“Clinton is doing well but needs a little more time,” the Tottenham boss said, while also confirming that Nabil Bentaleb is unavailable due to his own recent operation.
N’Jie signed for Spurs from French club Lyon last summer but he is yet to really get going at White Hart Lane, providing one assist to date with most of his appearances coming from the substitutes’ bench.
That said he could still play a part between now and May with Tottenham fighting Leicester City for the Premier League crown.
