Report: Mario Balotelli to be offered lucrative Chinese deal

Liverpool could be desperate to get Balotelli off their books in the summer.

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli could be offered a way out of the club according to a report in Italian outlet Il Milanista

Balotelli is currently on loan at AC Milan after a disappointing season on Merseyside where he managed to only find the net on four occasions and saw himself fall out of favour with previous Reds boss Brendan Rodgers, and it looks as if Jurgen Klopp has no real desire to offer the £16 million forward an opportunity for the Reds next season.

The report in Il Milanista suggests that Balotelli could be offered 15 million Euros (£11.83 million) in wages by Chinese side Jiangsu.

If such a move were to materalise, it would surely be welcomed by Liverpool as they would get an unwanted high earner off their wage bill - although nothing about a transfer fee is contained in the article.

Balotelli has not had the best of seasons back in Italy either, only scoring three goals from 16 appearances in all competitions.

It would certainly make the wishes of one former Liverpool player come true as ex-defender Jamie Carragher said earlier on in the month that he hoped that a club from China would be able to take the Italian forward off the hands of the Reds.

Balotelli could be one of a number of departures as Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp will try to start to put together a team that is more in his image ahead of next season.
