Payet has been a revelation during his first season at Upton Park, and he has quickly become a fans’ favourite at the London club.
The French midfielder has quickly taken on cult hero status with the Hammers, and Payet says that he is thrilled to be representing Slaven Bilic’s side.
“It’s such an exciting time to be at West Ham,” he said. “We are going well and dreaming of big things.
“There is the new stadium. It’s amazing — magnifique. It will be an amazing place to play football, there is so much optimism surrounding the club at the moment. I am enjoying myself.”
Payet’s brilliant form for West Ham has taken them to the verge of the top four spots.
The Hammers are currently chasing both Arsenal and Manchester City, as they look to make it into the Champions League qualification spaces.
West Ham also have an FA Cup campaign to concentrate on, with a replay against Manchester United all that stands between them and Wembley.
Payet is already looking forward to the upcoming match against the Red Devils, and he says that it would be a dream come true to play at England’s national stadium.
“I am so excited for that game, we really want to win it," he added. "I’d love to walk out in West Ham colours at Wembley stadium for an FA Cup semi-final.”
Payet has made 30 appearances for West Ham in all competitions this season, scoring 11 times and claiming 11 assists.
